Mini croque-monsieur with black truffle

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 150 g of Comté
  • 40 g of melted butter
  • 1 fresh black truffle
  • Fresh cheese

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180 C° (thermostat 6-7).

Step 2

Cut 4 thin slices of Comté, grate the rest.

Step 3

Place the slices of Comté on 4 slices of bread.

Step 4

Add the ham then spread the fresh cheese as desired.

Step 5

Place the remaining slices of sandwich bread. Cover the croque-monsieur with the grated Comté.

Step 6

Melt the butter in a saucepan over very low heat and brush the croque-monsieur.

Step 7

Place the croque-monsieur on a baking sheet.

Step 8

Put in the oven for 6 minutes. Turn on the grill at the end of cooking to grill the Comté cheese.

Step 9

While cooking, cut the fresh truffle into strips.

Step 10

Take the croque-monsieur out of the oven and arrange the slices to cover the Comté cheese.

Step 11

Serve immediately.
